* England's Cricket team is one of the best cricket team in the World Cricket. Now, they are at the first position at ICC ODI ranking. They have been performing very good for last two or three year. Hence, their performance makes them a strong competitor for the ICC CWC 2019, because they have also home advantage for this mega contest.

* England's recent form is fabulous. Few days ago, they defeated to Pakistan by 4-0 in five match ODI Series. In that series, their both recognised openers Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy were very exceptional with bat and performed very consistent. In middle order, Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler performed better. However, Joe Root did not look much better in the series.

* Despite of brilliant recent form, England lost their Ist ICC CWC 2019 Warm up match against Australia by very close 12 runs, but the host recovered quickly and defeated to Afghanistan in the second warm up match by very handy 9 wickets. Jos Buttler was very exceptional with bat in the Ist Warm up match against Australia and registered a brilliant half century while, Jason Roy was very destructive against Afghanistan in the second warm up game and played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 89 runs of 46 deliveries and proved his form before the World cup.

* Eoin Morgan and Liam Dawson have been almost recovered from their injuries and available for this match. While, Mark Wood is still recovering form his fitness.

* Jason Roy (121 runs), James Vince (64 runs) and Jos Buttler (52 runs) are three top scorer for England in the Warm Up match.

* England have very good record at Kennington Oval. They have been winning their all matches on the ground since 2016. They played four matches after 2016 and they won all. Joe Root has very fabulous recent record on this ground. He registered One century and two half centuries on this ground in the previous four matches. * Joe Root and Eoin Morgan will bat at No 03 and 04. Joe Root is a classical batsman and able to play a handy knock. While, Eoin Morgan is a big hitter of ball. Eoin Morgan has very good recent form but, Joe Root looked little inconsistent. Both batsmen have very good record at Kennington Oval.

* Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali will be next batsmen. Ben Stokes's recent batting form is very average but he might be useful. He is a good medium pacer too. Jos Buttler is a very attacking batsman in middle order and has very good recent form. Moeen Ali is also a very good all rounder and might be very useful as finisher. He is a very good off spinner too.

* Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer will be next batsmen. Both are good batter in lower middle order. Chris Woakes scored 40 runs in the first warm up match against Australia.

* Liam Plunkett, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes will lead the pace attack. Liam Plunkett has very good record on the Kennington Oval. Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes are expected to share the new ball.

* Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali will be two spinners.

SOUTH AFRICA (SA)


* ICC third ODI rank holder South Africa have performed very good in their recent series. They have won back to back two ODI Series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka before the Indian Premier League. In both series, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis looked very exceptional with bat and will hope to continue their momentum in the world cup too.

* Quinton de Kock has been very exceptional in the recently played Indian Premier League. His fabulous recent form might be very useful in the World Cup tournament. While, Faf du Plessis also looked in very good touch in the IPL. Both batsmen will be the key of South Africa's top order.

* However, Hashim Amla is also available in the top order, but his recent form is not define his ability. He was very inconsistent with bat in the last three or four month. His batting also flopped in the South Africa Domestic cup.

* Their middle order looked much solid and inform. Rassie van der Dussen has made much impact against the Pakistan series while, David Miller looked too good in the IPL and might be very useful on the very flat and bouncy English wickets. JP Duminy was very exceptional in the South Africa Domestic Cup.

* In the middle order, they have a quality of all rounder as Andile Phehlukwayo who has very tremendous recent form . His fabulous recent form might be very useful for the team.

* Dale Steyn is injured and not available in the opening match against the host. In absence of Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi will share the new ball. Kagiso Rabada was very exceptional with ball in the IPL 2019 and will hope to continue their momentum in the world cup.

* South Africa proved their brilliant form in the Ist Warm Up match against Sri Lanka and defeated them by 87 runs. Hashim Amla (65) and Faf Du Plessis (88) registered half centuries while, Rassie Van der Dussen scored 40 runs.

* Andile Phehlukwayo was very exceptional with ball and picked up four wickets while, Lungi Ngidi picked up two wickets. Their second warm up match against Windies had abandoned due to rain.

* South Africa have a quality of Spinner in form of Imran Tahir who was very successful in the recently concluded Indian Premier League and might be very effective in this mega events too.
