NEWS & ANALYSIS

India (IND)

* India disappointed in the Ist warm up match against the New Zealand and lost by 6 wickets. Team India will be hoping to bounce back in the second warm up match against Bangladesh on Tuesday, 28 May.

* India's both top and middle order batting did not play nicely the very disciplined pace attack of New Zealand and bowled out for only 179 in the first innings. Team India did not play their 50 Overs quota and bowled out in 39.2 Overs. Indian batsmen looked very average against Trent Boult and Jimmy Neesham who were very exceptional with ball.

* However, Ravindra Jadeja, who registered a brilliant half century with scored 54 runs, and Hardik Pandya (30 runs) tried to lift the innings and they were little bit success but could not lift at long time. India's top order could not tackle of Trent Boult's swing bowling. Boult picked the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Dhawan and KL Rahul in top order and played an important role to push India on the back foot.

* India's batting, top and middle order need to perform better in the second Warm Up match against Bangladesh for the better result and gain confidence for the World Cup. Thus, this warm up match is very important for Team India to set up their flow before the World Cup.

* India's bowling attack did not look in good touch in the First Warm Up match. They picked only four wickets of opponent. Indian bowlers looked slightly weak against the brilliant batting of Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor who registered their respective half centuries. Jasprit Bumrah, H Pandya, Y Chahal and R Jadeja picked up one wicket each.

* Vijay Shankar was got injured during the practice and might be doubtful to play this match.

* This is warm up match. Hence, any batsmen will play at any position and more than 11 players will participate in this match. So, we are not providing the line ups.

* Bangladesh's Ist warm up match against Pakistan has been abandoned due to rain. They will play the second warm up match against India and will hope to play with their best eleven players against the strong Indian team.

* Bangladesh performed very tremendous in the tri nation series and defeated to Windies in the final.  They were unbeatable in this series which will help  in their confidence  in the World Cup.

*  Bangladesh's batting was very remarkable in the tri series. Almost all batsmen likes of Tamim Iabal, Soumay Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Moammad Mithun and Liton Das batted very well. Especially, Soumya Sarkar was very consistent in this series.

*  Shakib Al Hasan, who did not play the final match of tri series due to finger injury, has been recovered and available to play.

*  Mashrafe Mortaza was very consistent in bowling and picked up 6 wickets in this series. However, Mustafizur Rahman also picked four wickets in a single match and Abu Jayed picked five wickets in a single match on the tour of Ireland. Hence, We can say that, Bangladesh bowling is inform and will be continue their momentum against Pakistan.
