* Windies have very strong squad. Few big names likes of Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Evin Lewis and Carlos Brathwaite are available in the squad. Hence, they can able to defeat any opponent in this mega event.
* However, Windies performance looked very average in their previous tri series. Their batting especially Shai Hope has been very exceptional in the series, but their middle order did not perform as they want. Only Skipper Jason Holder looked quite good, but overall performance of middle order need to be improved.
* Due to weak middle order, Windies won only against Ireland and lost their all matches included final against Bangladesh in the recently played tri series.
* Windies's squad of tri series was very different from the World Cup squad. After inclusion of Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Carlos Brathwaite and Andre Russell, their World Cup's squad is looking very strong and they proved the same in their warm up match against New Zealand in which they Putted 421 runs in the first innings.
* Shai Hope looked very exceptional again in the Warm up match and registered a brilliant century with 101 runs off 86 ball including 4 sixes and 9 boundaries while, Andre Russell did the late hitting duty very nicely with 54 runs off just 25 balls. Evin Lewis also registered a brilliant half century in this match.
* Their bowlers did very well job in the warm up match and restricted the opposition for only 330 runs. Carlos Brathwaite picked up three wickets while Fabian Allen picked two.
* Chris Gayle, who looked very sensational in his previous series against England at his home and also looked good in IPL, might be very useful as an opener because he loves to play attacking cricket and England's wickes seems very flat which will help to play short easily.
* Fro providing strength in middle order, Shai Hope's batting might be shifted at No 03 while, Evin Levis can open with Gayle.
* In middle order, Except DM Bravo, whose recent form is very poor, other batsmen likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder and Andre Russell have very good recent form. Andre Russell was very destructive in the Indian premier league and might be very useful in the slog overs. In short, Andre Russell might be very special performer for the Windies in this mega event.
* Windies's pace attack can be very effective on the bouncy wickets. Their most of the pacers likes Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell and Shannon Gabriel have very good recent form. Only Kemar Roach looked slightly weak in his bowling in recent time.
* Injured/Unavailable:- None
* Key Players :- Shai Hope, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Jason Holder, Shimron Hetmyer, Shannon Gabriel
WIN Line Ups
* Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis will open the batting. Both are very attacking batsmen and able to provide a good as well as quick start. Both looked good in the Warm up match.
* Shai Hope will bat at No 03. He is the most important batsman of Windies batting line ups. His recent form is very good. He also looked in very good touch in the warm up match and registered a brilliant hundred.
* Darren Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer will be next batsmen at No 04 and 05. DM Bravo is also a good batsman but has very recent form. While, Shimron Hetmyer is a attacking batsman and after failure in the Initial matches in IPL he found his form in the last match of IPL in which he registered a brilliant half century.
* Andre Russell and Skipper Jason Holder will bat next at No 06 and 07. Both are very attacking batsmen. Especially, Andre Russell is the one of the most dangerous hitter of the World. He was very destructive in the IPL and might be go for same in this event too, While, Jason Holder is also a useful batsman of middle order. Both are very good medium pacer too.
* Shannon Gabriel, Kemar Roach, Sheldon Cottrell and Jason Holder will lead the pace attack along with Andre Russell. While, One of Ashley Nurse and Fabian Allen will lead the spin.
* Pakistan lost their Ist warm up match against Afghanistan by 3 wickets and that was very surprised by them as well as all over world, but any thing is happened in the Cricket.
* Except Babar Azam, who registered a brilliant century in this match with scored 112 runs, and Shoib Malik (44 runs), none of other batsmen showed their determination in batting and finally, Pakistan were bowled out in 47.5 in the first innings for only 262 runs. That score was not sufficient on the flat English wicket and Afghanistan chased it successfully for the loss of seven wickets.
* However, Pakistan's bowlers looked good in this match and tried to restrict the opponent but their total was not enough as per pitch condition. Wahab Riaz picked up three wickets while Imad Wasim two. Shaheen Afridi was very expensive in the warm up match and need to be improved in the next match. While, Mohammad Amir's flop show was continue in the Warm up match also.
* Pakistan's few previous ODI series were not happened good for them. They were clean sweeped by Australia in Dubai which is their new adopted home ground and then, Pakistan lost their recent ODI series against the England in England by 4-0.
* Despite of very good batting in their recent series against England in the English Condition they did not able to win any matches because their bowler were not able to pick England's wickets on the flat pitches . Hence, English batsmen chased or putted a high score in that series.
* Fakhar Zaman, Imam Ul Haq and Babar Azam has made much impact in the series against England and will hope to replicate the same in this mega events. In middle Order, Mohammad Hafeez and Shaoib Malik also looked very good in the last one or two ODIs in that series.
* Skipper's Sarfaraz Khan's poor form is a very serious concern for the Pakistan. His poor form creates the gap in the middle order and Pakistan's middle order did not perform very good in the past . So, one small gap in middle order might be very risky for them.
* Pakistan Cricket team has spent more about One month in English Condition and played five ODI series. Hence, they will be well accommodated in the English Condition and that will help them in the World Cup events. Overall, batting order will depend on the their top three and will need some help from middle order to put a positive appearance in the World Cup otherwise they may again victim of a surprise lost as they seen in the warm up match against Afghanistan.
* Pakistan's bowling attack need to be improved. None of any bowlers are in good form. Hasan Ali played all the matches against England in his recent ODI Series just few days ago, but did not look in good touch. While, Shaheen Shah Afridi has also looked inconsistent. Mohammad Amir's las t two years performance is not good as well. Only W Riaz , who picked three wickets in the warm up match, can be expected to do some thing better in this match.
* Injured/Unavailable :- None
