* England's bowlers did very well job and restricted the opponent for only 232/9 in the first innings. Jofra Archer and Mark Wood picked up three wickets each while, leg spinner Adil Rashid picked two.

* But, England's batting flopped in this match against the deadly bowling of Lasith Malinga. However, Ben Stokes (82* runs) and Joe Root (57 runs) tried to lift the innings after failure of their most batsmen but they could not success. Except these duo, none of any batsmen spent more time on the crease.

* In the absence of destructive Jason Roy, James Vince got chance to open the innings in the last two matches, but Vince could not provide good start in the both matches. Although, Jonny Bairstow has scored two half centuries in this tournament, but he could not in his prime touch yet.

* England have very formidable middle order. So, their batting performance will not be more effected the early failure of their top. * After defeating the last match against Sri Lanka, England's hope to enter into the semi final will be little difficult. They are currently on the fourth position at the point table having 8 point . Now, They must have to win all their remaining three matches.
