This is the first time, that South Africa lost three matches consecutively in the ICC CWC ODI tournament. They will have to win this match at any cost to revive in this tournament.

* Their batsmen failed again in their previous match against India and finally, South Africa putted only 227/9 in the first innings, which was the below total from the average score of this ground.
