NEWS ANALYSIS

SOUTH AFRICA (SA)

* One of the ICC CWC 2019 tournament favourites South Africa started their Wold Cup campaign very bad and lost their three matches in a row. This is the first time, that South Africa lost three matches consecutively in the ICC CWC ODI tournament. They will have to win this match at any cost to revive in this tournament.

* They lost their previous match against India by 6 wickets.

* Their batsmen failed again in their previous match against India and finally, South Africa putted only 227/9 in the first innings, which was the below total from the average score of this ground. None of any South Africa's batsman showed their determination in batting which is the very serious concern for them. However, few batsmen likes of Faf du Plessis (38 runs), Rassie van der Dussen (22 runs), David Miller (31 runs), Andile Phehlukwayo (34 runs) and Chris Morris (42 runs) got their start but could not capitalise their start into a big knock.

* Overall their batting was failed in the all three matches that they played in this mega events. In face, It is say in the other words that their batsmen looked very inconsistent with bat in the previous matches because their some batsmen likes of Quinton de Kock, Faf Du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen and Andile Phehlukwayo have been among runs but did not score collectively.

* Quinton de Kock, who registered a brilliant half century in the opening match against England, failed in the last both matches, while Rassie van der Dussen, who registered two consecutive half centuries in the first both matches, failed in the last match against India. Faf du plessis also registered one half century in the second match against Bangladesh but failed in Ist and 3rd match. So, They batsmen need to be more consistent and score collectively in their next match against Windies that looked so strong in this tournament till now.

* After injury of Dale Steyn, who has been ruled out form this tournament, and Lungi Ngidi, South Africa's pace attack has been weaken. Their pace attack will be mostly depend upon Kagiso Rabada, who has been very exceptional in the last match against India, but Only Kagiso is not enough for their pace attack.

* Southampton Pitch helped spinners in the previous match and that will be very positive sign for South Africa because they have two world class spinners in form of leg spinner Imran Tahir and China man P Shamsi. Both might be very effective on this wicket.

* B Hendricks, who brought into the South Africa's world cup squad in place of Dale Steyn, is also available. He might play in place of P Shamsi.

* South Africa's batsmen will have to ready to play a lot of short and bouncer deliveries in this match against Windies because Windies's pacers bowled a lot of very well directed short and bouncer deliveries in their both matches and they were very successful in their plan of Short pitch bowling.

* South Africa have almost good recent ODI record against Windies. They have won three ODI matches out of last five. Hashim Amla has very good record against Windies. He has registered two centuries and One half century in the last five matches against Windies. Faf du Plessis has also good record with registered two half centuries in the last five matches.

* Lungi Ngidi has been injured during the last match and will be unavailable in this match.

* Dale Steyn has been ruled out due to injury.

* Injured/Unavailable :- Lungi Ngidi (Injured ),    Dale Steyn (ruled out)

* Key Players :- Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen, Andile Phehlukwayo, C Morris, I Tahir, K Rabada

SA Line Ups

* Wicket Keeper Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla will open the batting. Both are very good batsmen and able to provide good start. Quinton de Kock has registered on half century in this tournament while, Hashim Amla did not play any remarkable innings in this tournament yet.

* Skipper Faf du Plessis will bat at No 03. He is one of the most important batsman of SA batting line ups. He has registered one half century in this tournament .

* Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller will bat next at No 04 and 05. Rassie van der Dussen has made much impact in this tournament and registered two half centuries in first two matches.. While, David Miller looked good in the last match but could not play a handy knock.

* JP Duminy, Andile Phehlukwayo and Chris Morris will be next batsmen. JP Duminy is a good batsman but did not look very comfortable in this tournament. While both all rounders Andile Phehlukwayo and Chris Morris did very good job in the previous match.

* Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris and May be B Hendricks (if P Shamsi is not play) will lead the pace attack.

* Imran Tahir will lead the pace attack along with JP Duminy.

WINDIES (WIN)

* After a very emphatic win Over Pakistan in the opening match, Windies lost their previous match against Australia by 15 runs.

* Windies's bowlers did very deadly bowling in the first Innings and at one time Windies picked six Australian wickets for just 147 runs, but they lost their grab at the ending of Ist innings against the brilliant batting of Steven Smith 73(runs ) and lower order batsman Nathan Coulter Nile (92 runs) and finally, Windies got 289 runs target to win that match.

* Carlos Brathwaite has been very exceptional with ball and picked three wickets , while Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell and Andre Russell picked up two wickets each.

* Windies's batsmen did not bat very well in their previous match against Australia. Their both openers dismissed in very cheaply. While, Shai Hope, who registered a brilliant half century with scored 68 runs and Nicholas Pooran (40 runs) tried to lift the innings but could not get success to win the match. Jason Holder also registered a brilliant half century with 51 runs but his that fabulous innings was also not enough to win because other middle order batsmen likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Andre Russell did not support in batting.

* Nicholas Pooran also played a good finisher innings of 34 runs of 34 runs off just 19 deliveries.

* Windies have very strong batting line ups likes of Chris Gayle, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell who can clinch the opposition very easily with their batting.

* But, their middle order did not test during the long time. In the other words, their middle order did not help to win match in the recent time. Their most of the matches were won by fabulous performance of their top order. Shai Hope played very important role to win most of the matches during the last One year while, Chris Gayle helped to win Windies over England in limited over format when England went to Windies few month ago. Except these two batsmen, none of any batsmen played any remarkable innings that helped to win the team in recent time.

* Windies got a lot of wickets through short and bouncer deliveries and their strategy to bowl short pitch deliveries will also be seen in the next match.

* They have very strong batting line ups and only need to more consistent in batting to turn the result in their favour.

* Shai Hope has registered a brilliant half century at the Rose Bowl, Southampton in his previous match against England.

* Injured/Unavailable:- None

* Key Players :- Shai Hope, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Jason Holder, Nicholas Pooran, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas

WIN Line Ups

* Chris Gayle and E Lewis will open the batting. Both are very attacking batsmen and able to provide good start. C Gayle has registered one half century in this tournament so far.

* Wicket Keeper Shai Hope will bat at No 03. He was very exceptional with bat in the previous match.

* Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer will bat next at No 04 and 05. Both are very good attacking batsmen. N Pooran looked very solid with bat in the both matches.

* Andre Russell and Skipper Jason Holder will bat next at No 06 and 07. Both are very attacking batsmen. Especially, Andre Russell is the one of the most dangerous hitter of the World. He was very destructive in the IPL and made much impact in this tournament with bowl but did not perform well with bat yet. While, Jason Holder is also a very good all rounder and was very exceptional in the last match.

* Carlos Brathwaite and Ashley Nurse will be next batsmen. Both are very good batters of lower order. C Brathwaite picked three wickets in the last match.

* Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell and Jason Holder will lead the pace attack along with Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite.

* A Nurse will be only Spinner.
