NEWS ANALYSIS

ENGLAND (ENG)

- Tournament favourites England have bungled bit time in crucial games, which has now brought them at the verge of exit with only ten points from eight games. Now, this match will be the do or die match for the host to enter into the semi finals.

- They won their last match against India by 31 runs and kept alive their chance to play semi finals.

- After a long time, their openers provided a very good start and putted 337 runs on the score board. Jonny Bairstow registered a brilliant century with scored 111 runs. This was his first Century in this world cup. Jason Roy (66) and Ben Stokes (79) also registered a brilliant half centuries.

- Their bowlers did a good job and restricted India for 306/5 in the second innings. Chris Woakes picked up three wickets while, Liam Plunkett two.

- It is indeed tragic that England's best ODI team in recent history with the likes of Captain Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer in their ranks are facing an imminent exit.

- Player Stat

Joe Root - 476 runs
Ben Stokes -370 runs
Jonny Bairstow :- 356 runs
Eoin Morgan -275 runs

Jofra Archer -16 wickets
Mark Wood -13 Wickets

* Injured/Unavailable:- None

* Key Players :- Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood

Eng Line Ups

* Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy will open the batting. Both are very destructive batsmen and able to provide good start. Both provided a good start in the previous match against India.

* Joe Root and Skipper Eoin Morgan will bat at No 03 and 04. Joe Root has been very sensational with bat in this tournament so far, while Eoin Morgan also played a couple of good innings in this tournament.

* Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler will bat at No 05 and 06. Ben Stokes has been very exceptional in this tournament registering with four half centuries. Buttler is a good hitter of ball and has been registered one century in this events.

* Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer will be next batsmen. Both are good batter in lower middle order.

* Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Liam Plunkett and Ben Stokes will lead the pace attack.

* Adil Rashid will be only spinner.

New Zealand (NZ)

* New Zealand are placed at 3rd position having 11 points from eight matches. Now, this match will be the very important match for them to secure their place in the semi finals otherwise net run rate will play an important role for NZ if Pakistan will win their last match against Bangladesh and New Zealand will lost against England.

* After winning 5 matches in a row, New Zealand lost the last two matches against Pakistan and Australia for which they could not enter into the semi finals yet.

*  They lost their last match against Australia by 86 runs.

* They were given a target of 244 runs to win the match, but  New Zealand's batting flopped totally in this match and they bowled out for only 157 runs in the second innings.

*  None of any Kiwi's batsmen scored big but most of the batsmen likes of Kane Williamson (40), Ross Taylor (30) and Martin Guptill (20) got their start but could not convert into a big knock.

* Kiwi's bowler did very great job in the last match and restricted the opponent for only 243 runs. Trent Boult looked first time very exceptional in this tournament and picked up four wickets. L Ferguson and J Neesham also picked two wickets each.

* New Zealand's batting will mostly depend on Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor, who are the top two most consistent batsmen of New Zealand. After a very good opening partnership in the Ist match against Sri Lanka, Kiwi's both opener failed to provide a good start in the next all matches and this issue may create a big problem again in this match.

*  Their middle order also looked very average till yet. Except the match against Pakistan in which Kiwi's both all rounders Colin de Grandhomme and James Neesham batted very well, their middle order either failed or get less chance to perform.

*  One of Tim Southee and M Henry will play in place of I Sodhi.

* Players Stat

Kane Williamson - 454 runs

L Ferguson - 17 Wickets
T Boult - 13 Wickets.

* Tom Latham (Wicket Keeper), Colin de Grandhomme and Jimmy Neesham will be next batsmen. Tom Latham is a very good batsman but did not play any remarkable innings in this tournament while, Colin de Grandhomme and James Neesham are very good all rounders and played couple of good innings in this tournament.

* Mitchell Santner will bat next. He is a good batter of lower order.

* Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry/Tim Southee  and James Neesham will lead the pace attack along with Colin de Grandhomme .
